We had some great plays in the field - another 2 double plays, a great
Fielding effort to throw out a runner at home base, and a tagout at third base.
Robbie Street laid down a great bunt for a safe hit, and Steve Robinson had a great
Line-drive go through the outfield fence for a ground rule double which should
Have scored another run.
It will be interesting to see if the experts now think we may be a chance
for a medal. We are hoping if all goes to plan we should play China in the first
playoff game. We'll have to get all results in first to be certain.
I hope everyone back home is as excited as we are. Its been a wonderful
effort by the boys, and they now have a great deal of confidence in their
ability.

Original report
We won again. 5-0 record after the 1st round I think creates history again.
It was an extremely tight game, with the final score being 4-2 in our favour.
Daniel Floyd and Scott Wearne both hit home runs, which scored the 4 runs.
Steve Robinson had three hits.
Simon Beresford pitched a wonderful 7 1/3rd innings with Anthony Collis doing
a great job in closing.
All the boys contributed in some way with some great double plays and tagouts
being turned.
A couple of days rest now, and on with the finals.
regards.
Denise Robinson
